Nearshore Division

The Nearshore Division is restricted to vessels with a maximum of 700 horsepower. Vessels may fish all waters seaward of the Florida mainland within the area defined by the following coordinates: 28° 10’ N latitude to the North, 27° N latitude to the South, 83° 30’ W longitude to the west.

Inshore Open

The Inshore Open Division is open to any participant. Teams who have members who actively hold (or have held in the past five years) a captain’s license and have carried passengers for hire are REQUIRED to fish the Inshore Open Division. Teams will fish inshore waters only

Inshore Amateur

The Inshore Amateur Division is open to all participants who do not actively hold (or have held in the past five years) a captain’s license and have carried passengers for hire. Teams will fish inshore waters only

This division is great for recreational anglers looking for some competitive fun and a chance to win! Should a participating team include one or more individuals that actively hold, or have held within the past five years, a captain’s license and have carried passengers for hire, they are REQUIRED to participate in the Inshore Open Division.

Spear Division

The Spearfishing Division boundaries are limited to 30 Nautical Miles and/or a depth of 130 feet, whichever is less.

TARGET SPECIES

Amberjack, Cobia, Dolphin, Flounder, Grouper, Hogfish, Kingfish, Lionfish, Permit, Pompano, Sheepshead, Snapper, Tuna, and Wahoo

Scoring Guidelines

Total with of largest six (6) fish. Each species limited to two (2) submissions.

Kayak/SUP Division

The Kayak/SUP Division participants must launch from a public access in Manatee or Sarasota Counties. Anglers have 24 hours to fish for snook, redfish, and trout.

Junior Division

The Junior Division participants should be 17 years old or younger. All participants must have a guardian signed waiver to compete in the tournament. Junior teams will fish inshore waters only.
